Wired2Fish on Fishing Civil Behavior

Wired2Fish - Great blog post over at Wired2Fish.com. I dont know them cats over there on that site, and only found the blog because somebody retweeted it to my Twitter timeline, but it is on point. Jason does a civiljob of pointing out some bad habits and nasty behavior by tournament fisherman as well as weekend warriors that have no regard for anybody elses fishing experience. Bottom line, slow down, and dont steal spots, throw your net at the bait spots and stop being a douche on the water. Wired2Fish on Twitter Wired2Fish Blog

Chard Week - Pilchards Crowd Out Pod

Fort Lauderdal e - Well the wind finally laid down and the blowed out conditions gave us a break, but wouldnt you know it. Stinking pilchards have blacked out the water for as far as the I can see. Pelicans diving everywhere, and trust me they were everywhere. The mullet was pushed out and was kind of riding high and dry in the middle of the inlet. The sad part was I didn't see a single fish eat the entire time we were down there at the beach. Some happy baiter kept saying something in my ear about Hog Snapper but I was too busy looking for real bait to listen to some two stroking tee-topping pilchard flippin' doofus talk about Hog Snapper spots. Lets hope this Chard Week thing is just a phase and we haven't seen the last of the realbait. Listen, if you are out there and are a real guy, hit us up with reports on the Twitter.

Bait Update 09_25

Bait was NOT easy to get; however, we managed to get a half dozen in the 30 gallon bucket. Fishing conditions fromthe beach are awful and even worse by boat. Looks like a weekend to watch some decent football and hope we can get in an afternoon session after all the weekend warriors go home and the lifeguards leave.

Video | Mullet Cam - Surfs Up

Fort Lauderdale - Forget about the beach fishing, just went down there and the surfers have taken over. Lets just hope this storm gives us a few more days of decent beach fishing before the mullet pass thru. Be safe out there, and Happy Bait!

BDSMobile Youtube Channel

WEB - If you read The Mullet Run blog, its safe to say you are pretty hardcore when it comes to fishing with live bait and you probably already subscribe to the Official Mullet Run Channel on Youtube. But wait, there is more... We have another channel thats even more hardcore than that. The BDSMobile Youtube Channel is just video updates of bait, conditions, and fishability. Listen, these arent polished highlight videos. They are just reference videos to show you whats out there, what kind of bait can be netted and what the fishing conditions are like. http://www.youtube.com/bdsmobile

Mullet Run Video Reports 9 24 2010

Fort Lauderdale - The bait is here folks, just that we have been too blowed out to fish the run fromthe beach or from boat. It didn't stop us though we got out there and got skunked. We jumped a few tarpon at the Jetty and Brian did manage to pull a decent Snook out of the inside cove of the inlet. Here is some reference video to show you what kind of bait is making it through, and what kind of conditions we were trying to fish through. There is nothing wrong with getting a couple of baits and hitting an inshore spot to stay out of the wind and surf. First your Cast net Video and then a quick Happy Bait Report.

Video | Real Beach Mullet Shows Up

Fort Lauderdale - Well its about time some real bait showed up! I guess this string of storm swirling around finally pushed some of the decent mullet down south. And of course we were on top of them. Now before you run out and drop a hundred bucks on a new Salty Dog Net and a Spin Combo you better understand that this is advanced fishing. The mullet are swimming fast down the beach, and unlike the rest of the happy bait that swam down before these hoglegs, they arent right up on the beach. So it will take some pretty good netting skills to fill your five gallon bucket. Just a glance down the beach showed tons of Happy Baiters still throwing plugs. Anyway, these Hogleg mullet brought big tarpon and big jacks with them. The mullet school were getting blasted every few seconds. The Tarpon have to be gorging themselves. And can you blame them after a month of these stinking fingermullet. In conclusion, Happy Bait and be safe out there. Follow the Mullet Run on Youtube Follow the Mullet R

Happy Bait Fun Fishing for Jacks and Tarpon

Fort Lauderdale - The word is out. The finger mullet are in town and you can tell that because you can see all the Happy Baiters on the beaches and bridges with their cast nets. Late afternoon you can spot fisherman staking their spots along the shore, and its that time of the year when people can a decent Jack from shore. So yesterday afternoon, I went out for a spot hopping session with Captain Jeff and Website Mike and a bait well filled with a few hundred finger mullet just to see what we could get into. It didn't take but a few flips to get into the jacks and a cudas, but we just weren't seeing any tarpon around. In fact the tarpon didn't turn on until the sun went down. Thats a tip right there. As usual the video is edited in a confusing manor as to not give up the spots. But if you were really serious about getting bait you would be following us on the Twitter .

VIDEO Mullet Run - Palm Beach

Bucket Of Fingers - Mullet Run 2010

Breaking Fishing News - Finger mullet have decided to join in on the happy bait. They were decent sized pods and they were moving south very fast. So happy bait to South Beach. I would say now is the time to get your snook release in. Run that dog.

How To Throw a Cast Net

YOUTUBE - Here is a quick simple video for those of you that have nets and dont know how to throw them, or those of you that are thinking about getting your first net. Dont be afraid. Thats what happy bait is all about. Dudes that cant get bait all year long but can throw a cast net well enough in September to get mullet. I'm always reviewing Cast Net videos so I will be posting other ways to throw a cast net . Get out there and chunk that net, and as always Happy Bait.

Mullet Run 2010 Pre Pod Action

Fort Lauderdale - We all know those guys, or at least we run into them down at the beach or your favorite fishing spot, that insist they actually like throwing plugs better than fishing with live bait. And we all think the same thing, "Dude can't get bait" am I right what. We have all run into that dude. He's all geared up, he's got the custom fishing rod, the expensive reel, the Costa Del Mar sunglasses, and the Crocs. Then you notice he's throwing a plug when there are a gazillion live bait swimming right under his nose. Ive never understood that way of thinking, why fish with a plug when you could be fishing with live bait. Well maybe some people aren't as committed to getting baait as others, and they are content to fishing with plugs and not catching anything while the next guy is willing to do whatever it takes to get bait. The following video is an example of going to extremes to get bait. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SWIM WITH A CASTNET IN THE SURF IN RIP CU

Happy Bait Video 9_01

Fort Lauderdale - Whatever storm it is, is kicking up some decent waves for the surfers. So no Happy Baiting. There was some bait down there, but we fish like gentlemen. And we dont use Boing Boing Boing 14ft fishing rods either. Good on the surfers, the waves were actually halfway decent. Happy Bait everybody!

Mulletvision Presents: Piranha 3D

Seeing as we are still blowed out, and since all of us have probably already wandered the aisles at Bass Pro Shops, how about throwing on your best Colombia fishing shirt (long sleeve) and go see a really great movie about the fishing and boating lifestyle at Lake Crystal called Piranha 3D. Its a remake of course of the classic Joe Dante film Piranha . Dont be late or you will miss a cameo by an old friend.

We Blowed Out | Video

Fort Lauderdale - Hurricane Earl. Figures it would be Earl right? Wait Earl passed us by so I better be cool with Earl. Anyway, there is bait, but we dont fish thru this trash weather, we Blowed Out.
